Introducing 3D: A New Way to Approach Planning Your Project

Winsted is proud to launch a new interactive project creation process we call 3D.

3D stands for the three stages of our planning and implementation process: Discovery, Design, and Deliver. The approach emphasizes quality, utilizes our internal system to communicate customer needs, standardizes our design package presentations – all to ensure each of our customers have the overall best experience, from start to finish.

  • In the Discovery stage, an initial customer engagement is used to obtain as much information as possible to prepare for the project. Factors such as spatial needs, room dimensions and console footprints are discussed, and customer input is used to produce an ergonomic evaluation, a traffic flow optimization, and a sightline analysis. Product specification requirements (including features, functionality, and aesthetics) are gathered, and customers are presented with options for supporting product lines and accessories. Finally, critical information about budget, timeline and installation is captured for planning purposes.
  • El Design stage takes findings from the evaluation and analysis and uses them to make determinations about operator needs, situational awareness, response times, visual and noise distractions, and other factors affecting performance. When the initial design plans are prepared, they are presented to the customer, then carefully reviewed and revised in a collaborative process that ensures planning is aligned with the budget.
  • Finally, in the Delivery stage, the customer is presented with the final design package, including a quote and computer-aided design (CAD) drawings. The previous stages are recapped, with any new information and other items that have become prominent in the planning process thoroughly discussed. Price, budget alignment, timeline, color selections, delivery conditions and lead times are reviewed, and the customer is presented with the terms of sale, warranty and any onsite assembly requirements related to the project.

Our new streamline process results in:

  • Increased project capacity
  • Fewer revisions
  • More productive communications
  • Improved collaboration
  • Better alignment between budget and project execution
  • Consistent delivery of cutting-edge solutions
